Professional development and midwifery
- Drawing up an annual plan for professional and educational development programs for nurses and midwives and cooperate with the competent authorities to implement them
- Spreading awareness of the importance of developing nursing and midwifery professions among nurses and midwives
- Reviewing the competent laws and regulations related to nursing and midwifery professions
- Nomination of members of the association to represent the association in conferences, seminars and related sessions
- Cooperation with governmental and non-governmental agencies regarding consultations on nursing and midwifery practices in the Kingdom of Bahrain
- Providing financial support to nursing students or providing missions and sponsorship for conferences and research
Membership and Resource Development
- Working to attract members from nurses and midwives to participate in the society
- Issuing the membership card
- Working to highlight the objectives of the society through publications and activities
- Create a comprehensive database of the society containing the data of all members
- Working to attract commercial institutions, companies, community institutions to sponsor the activities and events of the society, and to cooperate in providing logistical and training support
- Work to increase the revenues of the society through cooperation with the Committee for the Development of Nursing and Midwifery professions in the work of training and educational programs, seminars and conferences
Midwifery Committee
- Joining the International Confederation of Midwives
- Follow-up and participating in the activities and conferences held by the International Confederation of Midwives
- Evaluation of the professional practice of midwifery
- Introducing society to the role of the midwife
Scientific Research, Studies and Publishing
- Preparing and presenting training courses related to scientific research in cooperation with the Activities and Events Committee.
- Providing support to researchers from nursing and midwifery students and publishing aids in scientific journals
- Encouraging the dissemination of scientific evidence and data based on the results of studies and research on nursing and health practices and guidelines and controls for the practice of nursing and midwifery professions
- Supporting and working scientific research and publishing studies in health sciences, nursing, midwifery and its other specialties.
Media and public Relations
- Issuing a periodical newsletters of the society
- Preparing and publishing news and advertising for activities and events of the society on the society’s social media platforms (Instagram and WhatsApp) and on all available media.
- Preparing and designing brochures and posters that highlight the objectives and activities of the society
- Monitoring the reactions to what is issued in the media regarding the nursing and midwifery professions, analyzing them and providing the society’s director board with feedback.
- Supervising with technical support to society’s website and social media platforms
- Cooperating with community institutions by organizing media events to spread awareness regarding nursing and midwifery professions locally and internationally.
Scientific and Social activities
- Preparing the annual plan for activities and events related to health, nursing and midwifery
- Supervision, technical and technical support and financial coordination of all activities and events
- Implementation of programs approved by the Board of Directors
- Cooperation with other committees in organizing and establishing courses and conferences
- Organizing social events for members of the association and their families
- Preparing and organizing health and awareness activities for the community
